Androscoggin River Path, Brunswick

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: NA
  • Trail Mileage: ~2.7 miles one way
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: Androscoggin River, dog park, Route 1

This is a popular 2.7-mile paved path squeezed between the river and Route 1. There are some pleasant spots, and a few benches on the river, closer to the western trailhead (on Water Street). The selling points of this path are 1) it’s paved for wheelchair accessibility, 2) it is plowed and sanded in the winter, and 3) there is a dog park with very cute dogs frolicking about. But the downside? The traffic zooming by makes for a noisy walk!

The dog park is close to the Water Street trailhead.

Directions: There are two places to park. For the west-end trailhead, park at the end of Water Street. For the eastern trailhead, from Old Bath Road, turn down Grover Lane. Park at the end of the lane.
