Brewer Riverwalk, Brewer

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: N/A
  • Trail Mileage: ~.6 miles one way
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: Penobscot River, Bangor

The two riverside walks of Bangor and Brewer lie opposite one another, across the Penobscot River. If you’re ambitious, you can combine them for a lovely and longish riverside walk. Brewer’s walk is about 0.8 mile, from Penobscot Street to a bit past Hardy Street. The path is paved, wheelchair accessible, and pretty, especially at sunset.

In 2024, Brewer added a “music park,” six stand-alone instruments, including bells, a xylophone, and drums, which you can play with provided mallets or your own hands.

Directions: You can park off of Penobscot Street, at one end of the trail. I’m not sure if it’s kosher to park at the Mason Brewery, on Hardy Street, where the other end of the trail starts. But it’s kosher if you stop in for an après-walk pint or snack!

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
