Davis Conservation Easement, Orono

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 33 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 1 mile
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: forest, nearby field with Orono Sedge

This 33-acre Orono Land Trust property has the best kind of trail system — a simple loop! Of just about 1 mile. This means you don’t have to make any hard choices; you can just go for a walk in a peaceful patch of woods.

The flat and easy trail winds through forest, coming quite close to the noisy highway, before curving back to an old woods road.

Directions: The trailhead and kiosk is at the end of Gardner Road, accessed from Route 2. Drive down Gardner Road and you’ll see a small parking area (large enough for two cars) just beyond a private driveway on the right.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
