QUICK TRAIL FACTS
- Preserve Size: 49,075 acres
- Trail Mileage: 1.8 miles
- Pets: yes
- Difficulty: easy to moderate
- Sights: Eagle Lake, views of Conners Nubble
Though this trail sticks closely to the side of Eagle Lake on relatively flat terrain, I’m rating it easy-moderate rather than easy because there are rough roots and rocks to navigate, and a few minor ups and downs. Though it’s only 1.8 miles long, it is a bit tiring.
A subjective take: the views don’t quite make up for the exertion. I imagine more people hike it as the epilogue to their round-trip hike up North Bubble and over to Conners Nubble, which is a great hike!
Directions: You can catch the Eagle Lake Trail off Park Loop Road, from either the parking lot for the Bubbles or at the north end of Bubble Pond.
