Ferry Landing Trail, Saco

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: 1 mile in network
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: boardwalk, tupelo trees

The current maps (as of 2016) for this walk only show a little loop trail here, but once I headed out, I found a blazed trail going off to the right. It loops through the woods and ends up at a campground. You can walk through the campground and back to the preserve, by the vernal pool. In total, it’s about one mile.

Directions: From downtown Saco, go a few blocks north on Main Street to the traffic light and turn right onto Beach Street.  Travel for 3.8 miles. Turn left into the parking area just past Landing Road.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
