QUICK TRAIL FACTS
- Preserve Size: 56 acres
- Trail Mileage: ~1 mile
- Pets: yes
- Difficulty: easy
- Sights: Great Farm Brook stream, beaver pond, high-value vernal pool
A fine trail. Most of it follows a well-established, old track that is easy to walk and really pleasant. When I visited, the trail ended at a beaver pond, where you could turn around and do the slightly rough Loop Trail back to the road.
Be sure and check out the little side paths. One goes to a verdant vernal pool area. Best to study the Sebasticook Regional Land Trust map before heading out to keep your eye out for subtle junctions. (I missed one to the brook, sadly!)
Directions: The trailhead kiosk on Village Road is behind a gate. You can park at the gate, in a small pull-over, big enough for two to three cars. If you’re coming from Route 7, the gate will be on your right, about a mile or so after you turn onto Village Road. If you pass Hadley Mill Road, you’ve gone 600 feet too far.
