Hacker’s Hill Preserve, Casco

This is not technically a walk! It’s more of a unique and beautiful spot, a park, really. If you are up this way, I really encourage a visit. When I visited in February, the access road was closed, so it was sort of like a little hike. And the road is steep! And you could walk your dog around the meadow, as well as visit the interesting little shrine off to the side.

Directions: From Portland, follow Rt. 302 west. Take a right onto Quaker Ridge Rd. in Casco. Hacker’s Hill is located at the height of land on the north end of Quaker Ridge Rd.
