Hart Farm trails in green. Fields Pond trails in blue.

The view at the very start of this Holden Land Trust preserve and working farm, even from the parking lot, is beautiful. Over the farm’s sloping fields, you can see for many miles.

The trails around the fields, which harbor bobolinks, include some long ascents and descents — good for cardio! The Hart Farm trail system is connected to Fields Pond Audubon Center, giving you the option to go for a long walk through different habitats. If you do head over to Fields Pond, the trails will bring you by a gully and through a section of harvested forest.

Directions: The address of the farm is 430 Copeland Hill Rd in Holden. The parking area and trailhead kiosk are across the street from the farmhouse, where the road makes a big bend.
