This is a quiet, wooded spot, with part of the trail running alongside the pretty Presumpscot River. The 41-acre preserve, protected by the Presumpscot Regional Land Trust, seems to be popular with dog walkers, and it offers a portage for boats with a sturdy boat launch and staircase. The loop is roughly a mile.

Directions:The main parking area is at the end of Tow Path Road off Route 202 in Gorham. You can also park at Great Falls Elementary School, according to a reader. Like many schools, it might be best to park here when school is not in session.
