- Barnard Mountain — An easy, nice relatively small mountain with lovely views of Katahdin.
- Deasey Pond and Esker Trail — Go in opposite directions along these short, easy, there-and-back trails—0.7 miles and 0.4 miles respectively—to remote ponds.
- Deasey and Lunksoos Mountain — A long trail (expect a ~15-mile hike) brings you to two mountains under 2,000 feet with great views of Baxter State Park and beyond, in all directions.
- Owl’s Head, Scraggly Lake Public Land — A beautiful walk along Scraggly Lake and to the views atop the short Owl’s Head. North of the monument.
