I finally visited this trail not in winter, and it was transformed into a burst of wildflowers lining mown path through fields. A swooping trail is maintained around the meadows, with a couple of shortcuts, allowing visitors to do a mile loop or something shorter. There is one small section through the woods, but otherwise, this is a colorful sun-filled spot.
The start of the trail is marked with a large green trail sign, at the far (north) end of the parking lot on the right side (east side) of campus.
KM Trails is a great source for local trails.
Directions: The campus is off Western Ave/Route 139. Look for the trail sign on right as you enter campus and pass Carter Hall on your left.
