The day we visited this preserve, we parked on Birch Point Road and walked the 0.2-mile track to the pretty cove. But another visitor drove and parked at a small clearing closer to shore. From this point, there is a very short, pretty path and stairway down to the water.
Directions: From U.S. Route 1, turn left onto Cannon Hill Road. After 1.6 miles, turn right on Birch Point Road, and continue 0.9 miles. The parking area is on the right, and the trail heads down to the shore on the other side of the road.
