Lindell Trail, Palermo

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 42 acres
  • Trail Mileage: ~1 mile
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: marsh

On the Lindell Trail at the Jump Pond Preserve, you can do a roughly one-mile loop through some quiet woods. About half way through the loop, the trail comes out on a small bluff with views over the meandering marshy river. The trail is mostly easy, but has the usual rocks and roots. The preserve is protected by the Midcoast Conservancy.

Directions: If you’re heading east on Route 3, you take a left onto Level Hill Road just past Sheepscot Pond. Drive 0.7 miles, then take a right onto Hostile Valley Road. The small grassy pull-off is on the right in about 1 mile. I parked on the side of the street.
