The sixty acres of town land in the Maple Street Conservation Area is connected via a well-constructed bridge and 0.75-mile trail to the really lovely Negutaquet Conservation Area. When we visited in the spring of 2021, the trails here still seemed to be in the process of being established. Some of them passed through quite spongy wet ground. We appreciated being able to go for a long, quiet walk through the woods from this preserve to Negutaquet.

Important note: While the two conserved parcels allow pets, the trail connecting them does not.

Directions: There are two quite large parking areas for this 2.2-mile trail system. One is on Maple Street, the other off Somersworth Road, directly across Old County Road.
