McFeely Preserve, York

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 38 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 0.6-mile loop
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: Clay Hill Brook

This 38-acre York Land Trust preserve offers a little 0.6-mile loop through woods to a brook. The brook cuts a green, mossy river through the forest. The map below indicates an additional small loop on the other side of the brook, necessitating two stream crossings. I’ll try to check it out soon.

Directions: From the junction of Routes 1 and Clay Hill Road in Ogunquit, follow Clay Hill Road 1.8 miles west to Marsh Brook Road on the right. Follow Marsh Brook Road .25 miles to kiosk on right.
