Mount Phillip, Rome

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 207 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 1.4-mile loop
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: moderate
  • Sights: views from summit (755 ft.)

On a recent Sunday in August, the parking lot for the 755-foot Mt. Phillip was full! This mountain is a popular place. A 1.4-mile loop takes you to two nice lookouts. The trail starts off a bit rocky and then climbs — steeply at times, gradually at others — to the summit.

Directions: If you’re coming from Route, 27, turn onto Route 225 go 1.5 miles. The trailhead will be on your left, directly across from Starbird Lane.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
