Osgood Trail, Surry

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: 1 mile
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: athletic field, forest

My impression when I visited this sweet 1-mile trail was you’re likely have the place to yourself. You can drive to the right of the buildings and park behind them. There you’ll see a hand-carved mildewing sign for the trail, which heads into the woods behind it. The path continues past the Osgood athletic fields — which is another good place to park and pick up the trail. Soon after the athletic fields, the trail splits to make a .6-mile loop. There are wooden signs along the way to keep you on the right track.

Directions: You can find the trailhead behind the Surry town offices, on North Bend Road. You can also pick up the trail from the Osgood Athletic Field.
