The small preserve is made up of a wild meadow reaching down to Hardscrabble River. From May to October, Cobscook Shores mows wide paths through the meadow grasses, but watch your step, the ground can be uneven in places.
In January and February, the trails are groomed for skiing for its outdoor education program, but invites the public to use the trails as well.
Directions: From Route 1, turn onto Shipyard Road. If you’re coming from the north, the preserve entrance will be on your left in roughly 650 feet. The drive is marked with a blue Cobscook Shores sign.
