This is a beautiful hike up a small 760-foot mountain. The land is privately owned and held in a conservation easement, and while the landowners welcome the public to walk on their trail system, they ask visitors to leave no trace. Camping, fires, and hunting are prohibited. The hike, which will give you a good workout, is about 1.9 miles.
The path is well made (thanks to trail manager Bruce Barrett) and easy to follow. The trail makes a small loop close to the summit (the actual summit has no views). There are a few steep areas here; it’s recommended you walk this loop counterclockwise. The series of three viewpoints you’ll come to along your way are all lovely.

Directions: From Route 5/35, turn onto Vernon Street, and then bear right onto Hunt’s Corner Road. Go 1.2 miles to the parking area on the left.
