Map shows trails in York County.
- Abbott and Sugarloaf Mountains — A 1.3-mile hike up unblazed old forest roads takes you to the open ledgy summit of Abbott Mountain (seemingly popular with four-wheelers). For those who want more of a challenge, you can do a 5.7-mile loop linking Sugarloaf and Abbott summits. The trail condition might be iffy.
- Williams Town Park — A really pleasant 300-acre park, with wide gravel roads, several places with views, two bucolic ponds, and large fields. The trails are passable for wheelchairs and strollers, I think.
- Shapleigh Town Forest Trail — The area around this 1.6-mile trails had been harvested when I visited, making the path difficult to find.
- Pump Box Brook Preserve — In half a mile, you can walk to a view of a wetland, and then do a ~ 0.6-mile loop through the forest.
