QUICK TRAIL FACTS
- Preserve Size: 40 acres
- Trail Mileage: 1-mile loop
- Pets: yes
- Difficulty: easy-moderate
- Sights: Bagaduce River
I enjoyed my wintery dusk walk here, since the sinking sun lit up the far shore of the Bagaduce River in bright oranges and reds. The loop trail is just a little over 1.0 mile, and follows the tidal river for 2,500 feet. At low tide you can walk over to Nab Island. Be careful you don’t get stranded! This is a Blue Hill Heritage Trust property — they recommend you keep your eye out for seals, even pups! (In the warmer months).
Directions: From Route 176, turn on to Young’s Point Road. When the road forks, bear right, and the preserve trailhead is a little farther along on the right.
