Stone Mountain, Cutler

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: N/A
  • Trail Mileage: .7 miles one way
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: views

This .7-mile one-way trail to the top of Stone Mountain is on private land and was not very well taken care of when I visited in July 2017. If you are ready to face a slightly overgrown trail and no blazes, it’s pretty easy to follow a mown path about .4 miles before it takes a sharp left up an old, overgrown track that goes steadily uphill for about .3 miles. The summit is an open, rocky little spot, with decent views.

Directions: There is a small parking lot off of Route 191 and across the street from the Bog Brook Preserve’s Norse Pond trailhead parking lot.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
