Tannery Brook, Gorham

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: 1.5 miles in network
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: pond

This is a Gorham Conservation Commission preserve with about 1.5 miles of walking paths and a pretty pond on Tannery Brook that looks like it might be good for ice skating (when the ice is thick enough). The wooded trails are well marked and fairly easy.

In the fall of 2018, I returned and walked a loopy, windy mountain bike path called 5G (It’s rather obvious which trail it is on the map), and a second entrance via the Falcon Crest Drive development. If you head in via Falcon Crest, be mindful of parking in a public spot. To find the trail, head up the gravel path at the end of the development and across the open field to the woods.

Directions: The trailhead is on Wentworth Drive. Continue past the bank, following the access road as it curves to the right, and park at the gate.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
