Town Beach, Islesboro

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: .5 miles
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy to moderate
  • Sights: beaches, sea views, islands — the usual Isleboro fare!

A lovely spot at the very tip of Islesboro. Along with two beaches, the park includes some wide seaside ledges with awesome views. You can do a short walk on the unmarked, narrow paths scratched into the brush behind the shore. There are a few picnic tables as well. If you’re tempted to swim, the beach tucked into the little cove on the eastern side of the park seems to be the place to go.

Directions: Drive south on Pendleton Point Road, continuing on the road after it turns to dirt. You’ll see a sign for the town beach; keep going a short distance to the parking area.
