Vassalboro Town Forest Trail, Vassalboro

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: ~1 mile
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: woods, ball fields

To take a break from the local little league game, you can do a short walk in the woods behind the athletic fields. You’ll see one sign for the town forest trail at the end of the recreational fields, heading off into the trees from the open parking area. You can also pick up the trail from the middle of the parking area or the other end. The paths here are blazed and easy to follow. Some parts of the preserve could have used a little trail maintenance when I was there, but other parts looked well kept, with bog bridging over the wetter patches.

Directions: The trailhead is .4 mile west on the Bog Road from downtown East Vassalboro. The trail starts from the back parking lot of the recreational fields.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
