QUICK TRAIL FACTS
- Preserve Size: N/A
- Trail Mileage: ~0.7 miles one way
- Pets: yes
- Difficulty: easy to moderate
- Sights: Forest, no view at top
When this area was logged, the view was probably sweet of the town below. Now that the trees have grown up, there is less to see at the top. Meanwhile, the hike is a short but steep hike (especially the second half) to a forested rocky outcrop.
To find the trail, you can park at the ball field at the end of Nash Road. You’ll see a snowmobile track heading into the woods behind the field. Follow that straight for 0.1 mile to the hiking path on your left, marked with a hand-painted sign. The there-and-back trail is blazed in red, but because few people hike here, the path fades closer to the top.
Directions: From Route Weld Street (Route 142), turn onto Nash Road. Park at the parking area for the ball field at the end of the road.
