I am not familiar with the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, but their paths (old carriage trails) include a neat spot by a couple of spring-fed reflecting pools. They’re called Pools of Simeon, designed by William Drew Washburn in 1903. The other trail takes you to a modest lookout. Evidently on clear days, you can see Mt. Washington from this spot.
The trails aren’t blazed, but they are wide and easy to follow. They are on the side of the hill, so there’s some exertion required!
Directions: You can park behind the big beautiful church at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, at 290 Norlands Road in Livermore. It is 1.6 miles or so on the right from the intersection of Norlands Road and Route 108.
