Winslow Community Trails, Winslow

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: 2.2 miles in my network
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: woods, Kennebec River, old mills, Winslow playing fields

The trails around the Winslow schools and playing field are wide, wheelchair accessible, flat, and well maintained. In my map, I’ve includes the Two-Cent Bridge, which crosses the Kennebec and links Waterville’s Head of Falls park with Winslow, and is really worth a visit. Kennebec Messalonskee Trails has posted “trail” signs along the neighborhood streets, making it easy to go from one spot to another.

Directions: To find the trails, go to the high school and turn into the last parking area. Walk all the way down the lot, past the ball field, and you’ll see a trail sign pointing you in the right direction.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
