Blackcap Mountain — You start your hike up this 1,000-foot mountain by a beautiful pond, Fitts Pond, before heading up a relatively steep but short ascent to the summit ridge. Hike to the end of the ridge for the best views.

Woodchuck Hill — Scrambling up the ledges to the summit of this 815-ft mountain provides much of the enjoyment of this hike. Plus, the trail passes two beautiful and swimmable ponds—Fitts and Snowshoe. The summit views aren’t of the blow-your-socks-off variety.
