This pleasant loop trail is a little over a mile long and is maintained by Adventure Bound. It largely follows the riverbank, with a few places to access the water. A section of trail also passes along a high esker above the river. The trail is generally well marked with white rectangles with the Adventure Bound logo, however it can a bit tricky to follow as it passes through Adventure Bound’s main campus. Because it does pass through the campus, this walk is best to do in the off-season when there isn’t any rafting going on.

Directions: Directly across Route 201 from the Sterling Inn in Caratunk is a gravel road marked by a sign for Maine Lakeside Resort & Event Center. Take this gravel road, which immediately splits. Bear right at the split. The trailhead is marked by a small white sign on the right, a couple hundred yards past the split. There is a pull-off large enough for two cars right at the start of the trail. A larger pull-off is 50 feet further down the road.
