Library Park’s trails begin at the local library, and loop down toward John’s Bay. I found the trail a bit hard to follow in the wintertime. But the meandering was well worth the moment when we stepped out onto a mossy little cove, with pretty views over the bay and a small island. The Damariscotta River Association has good info on this walk, as they do on all their preserves. The trail also connects to Tracy Shore. Library Park has about .8 miles of trails, and Tracy Shore has about 1.1 miles.

Directions:  Library Park is located just off of Route 129 in South Bristol, 12 or so miles south of Damariscotta. Park at Rutherford Library — there are trail signs near the parking lot.
