The Mary Grant Nature Preserve is a quiet, peaceful place, with trails covered in orange needles from towering old pines. The ~0.6-mile outer loop and 0.2 mile connecting trail are easy and well-marked. The little park includes an open area with a little picnic table and a picturesque white shed.

Directions: Turn onto H Road from Route 109. Shortly after, turn right onto Sam Page Road. The preserve will be on your right in about 1,000 feet.

  1. My dog and I did this walk this morning–a 15 minute walk (Outer Loop) with lots of stops for sniffing. It’s a perfect little walk if you don’t have a lot of time. There is also an outhouse onsite. Thanks so much for your site, I love it!
