McDonald Marsh in orange; Spirit Pond trails in blue.

This 20-acre parcel is part of an important tract of land conserved by the Phippsburg Land Trust to protect waterways that feed into Spirit Pond, the Morse River, and the area’s intertidal habitat. The trail consists a ~0.1-mile spur to a 0.6-mile forested loop.

The loop brings you across a stream, and up a moderate hill. You’ll pass lots of exposed bedrock covered in moss and ferns.

Directions: A small parking lot, with room for two or three cars, is located off Parker Head Road on the left, about 380 feet past the intersection with Popham Road.
