Ordway Grove, Norway

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 9 acres
  • Trail Mileage: ~.7-mile loop
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: Pennesseewassee Lake, very old white pines

This is a 0.7-mile or so walk maintained by the Twin Town Nature Club that includes a few places to look out over Pennesseewassee Lake. Supposedly the White Pines here are some of the oldest in Maine!

Here’s a nice description

Directions: From Main Street in Norway, turn right on Pleasant Street. The trailhead is about 0.2 miles on your left and is marked with a small sign that has seen better days. You’ll walk to the right of a private home on what looks like a driveway. In about 100 feet or so into the woods, you’ll see the trail kiosk. There is room for just about two cars in the tiny parking lot.
