Raymond Community Forest, Raymond

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 356 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 4 miles in network
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy to moderate
  • Sights: view

This wonderful 356-acre preserve includes much of Pismire Mountain and its cliffs, from which you can take in the views of Rattlesnake Mountain and Crescent Lake, and the blue hills beyond. The climb up to the viewpoint is short (about .7 miles), but steep. Beyond the view, you can do a .7-mile loop through the forest.

On the west side Conesca Road are two miles of easier trails through forest.

You can find more info on this preserve at Loon Echo Land Trust.

Directions: The preserve parking lot, on Conesca Road, is about .75-mile from the intersection with Raymond Hill Road. If you’re coming from the other direction, from Route 11, take Edwards Road or Freeman Road to Conesca Road. You’ll see the trail crossing (across Conesca Road) before you come to the parking lot, which is just a little ways ahead on your right.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
