You have a choice of several loops of varying distances at this beautiful Cobscook Shores property. You can do a roughly 1-mile loop through forest and meadow and along South Bay. (It’s a bit longer if you follow all the little side paths to look at the views.) Or you can just walk the wheelchair accessible old woods road 0.1 miles to the timber-frame pavilion and enjoy the scene within its protected screens.
Expect slightly rolling terrain along Cobscook Shores’ well-made trails.
Directions: When Lead Mines Road takes a sharp left bend, look for the parking area and trailhead kiosk. It’s about 1.3 miles from the intersection of Lead Mines Road and Straight Bay Road.
