This isn’t much of a walk as it is a destination. After driving up a long, windy, steep road, you come to a dead end. Park your car and walk 0.1 mile to an open rocky outcrop for western views and, evidently, lovely sunsets! The ledge is 840 feet high, and is protected by Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust.
Directions: From Route 1A, turn onto Sunset Road and follow its twisty, windy way to its end, where there is a small parking area by a private house.
