Harpswell, Cumberland County

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 88
  • Trail Mileage: 0.6-mile loop
  • Pets: yes

  • Sights: small ravine, Widgeon Cove

This Harpswell Heritage Land Trust preserve offers a charming 0.6-mile loop with views over Harpswell Sound’s Widgeon Cove and the blue-green water of reedy inlets. Two benches have been well placed at the southern part of the loop to take in the views.

The trail is mostly easy and flat, but is rooty and covers uneven terrain. A small but still somewhat dramatic ravine cuts through the land.

Directions: From the intersection of Mountain Road and Harpswell Neck Road (Route 123), head south on Harpswell Neck Road for 0.9 miles. The Widgeon Cove parking lot is on the left, with three to four spaces.
