QUICK TRAIL FACTS
- Preserve Size: Not sure
- Trail Mileage: ~1-mile loop
- Pets: yes
- Difficulty: easy
- Sights: blueberry barrens, stream
Note: A new housing community in 2025 has decreased the area for this trail.
This is a really nice spot for a short walk, with sandy soils, pitch pines, and blueberries. It was hard to make out the information on the faded posters tacked on the kiosk, but it looks like the town owns two parcels here, separated by some privately owned land. However, the un-blazed but easy-to-follow trails crisscross the plains, so perhaps it is okay for walkers to explore. A couple of the paths take you down to a stream.
Directions: The parking lot is about 0.9 miles from Route 1, on Ross Road.

Unfortunately, about half of the trail system has been lost due to development of a new housing community as of 2025.
Oh no! That is so sad to hear. I’ll update my map soon.
