Map shows trails in Knox County
- Pleasant Point Nature Preserve — A 65-acre inland walk on a small, quiet peninsula. Dogs allowed. Winding, flat trail, some tricky footing. Long boardwalk.
- Langlais Sculpture Preserve — Art and nature, a fantastic mix! This 90-acre preserve, which opened in the fall of 2017, has trails (I hear more to come eventually) and several of the artist Bernard Langlais’s sculptures on display throughout the garden.
- Cross Cushing Nature Preserve — The forests in this part of Maine are moss covered, slightly gloomy. The ground underfoot is spongy. A 1.2-mile loop with a spur (that I missed) to Meduncook River.
