Ferry Landing Trail

Saco, York County

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: ~0.7 miles
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: boardwalk, large tupelo trees

The highlights of this Saco Bay Trails walk are its three charismatic Tupelo trees, a little wetland pond, and well-made boardwalks.

From the parking area, you’ll head down a narrow dirt track to the little pond with two stone benches. Turn left to walk the ~0.6-mile lollipop-loop trail along a boardwalk and the forest. The white blazes were a bit faded on my visit.

Directions: From downtown Saco, go a few blocks north on Main Street to the traffic light and turn right onto Beach Street.  Travel for 3.8 miles. Turn left into the small, dirt parking area (there’s room for a couple of cars) just past Landing Road. Continue down the lane past the parking area to start your walk.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
