The 0.9-mile-ish Freeport Land Trust trail loops around a forested preserve behind a subdivision, bringing you to high ground from which you can look down a very steep pitch to Harvey Brook. The ravine is impressive — and you can take it in from a bench at the end of a short spur trail.

Additionally, there’s a steep, unofficial but well-worn trail that leaves the blazed trail and heads down to the stream.

The trail network is mostly easy and flat, with a bit of a hill at the start.
