Bike path in yellow; Ravine Trails in blue.

A short, paved bike path connects Topsham’s commercial area with the Highland Green residential community and its trail systems. It’s easiest to park at the municipal buildings. Then you cross Main Street and pick up the trail, passing a large parking area and empty lot on your left, before heading into a small woodland. The majority of the trail runs along the busy Brunswick/Topsham Bypass, but it’s not unpleasant! I believe the plan is to eventually connect the trail with the Androscoggin River Path? The whole length of the trail is paved and wheelchair accessible.

On my map, I also show the footpaths (in blue) that weave around the enchanting nearby ravine and its stream. You can scoot off the bike path down a little hill to reach the stream.

Directions: The best place to pick up the trail is at the Topsham town hall on Main Street. Cross the street and head down the path.
