Indian Point Preserve, Ellsworth

  • Preserve Size: Not sure
  • Trail Mileage: .3 miles one way
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: Union River, Card Brook, and views of downtown

This Frenchman Bay Conservancy trail, about 0.3 miles one way down to a wooded point with soaring pines and picnic tables, offers an interesting walk through Native American history, thanks to the informative trail signs. There are also a few displays about the local natural history. A portion of the trail swoops down close to the brook.

Directions:  From Route 1, turn onto Water Street. Go 1 mile and turn right onto Tinker Farm Way. Stay right in the housing development and look for the preserve’s sign for the parking lot and kiosk.

Let me know if you have any trail updates or corrections!
