This was, to me, a surprisingly delightful, well-maintained trail behind the elementary school and library, with a great viewpoint and resting spot on an estuary. There are fairly flat ledges to sit or sun on, and it looks like it could be decent swimming? The forest trails are pretty, with some views over the marsh. The school and library are linked by a short forest path within this trail network.
Directions: Access to the Les Hyde Memorial Nature Trail is from the Jackson Memorial library driveway off Route 131 in Tenants Harbor, approximately 9.5 miles south of the intersection of Routes 131 and 1. The kiosk is located at the trailhead adjacent to the library.
Roaring Spout Tenants Harbor. You can drive down Roaring Spout road and stop at the intersection of Hilliard road. Right there at the y section is a small sign for the Roaring Spout trail. Then you walk about a quarter mile down to the water
