- Devil’s Head — The preserve includes a 2.7-mile or so trail loop, with a bit of view from the Devil’s Head bluff. And, there is sandy, pebbly beach to top off your walk.
- Calais Waterfront Walkway — The town has a 1.5-mile wheelchair gravel path along the St. Croix River. The northern half, leaving from the small park at the end of North Street and continuing to Todd Street, is the nicest stretch.
