- Mt. Waldo — This is a fabulous mountain, just over 1,000 feet high, with three possible routes up. It has extensive ledges near the summit for such a small mountain, making for an enjoyable trek up. Once you’re at the top, which has a radio tower, you can enjoy more open ledge and expansive views.
- Frankfort Town Forest — 1,440 acres, crossed by old logging tracks, gravel roads, and a power line. Some of the lesser paths bring you to the edge of the wide Marsh Stream. Expect a bit of a wild experience here.
