- Shackford Head State Park — A great place to look out over lots of aquaculture pens. Plus it has nice trails and you can do a 2.4-mile loop that includes a headland bluff with impressive views.
- Matthews Island — If you plan your walk around tides, you can make a short walk out to an uninhabited island, and sit on a bench on a rocky ledge overlooking the bay.
