Ogunquit

  • Marginal Way — A paved, popular, easy trail on the edge of the sea in a touristy little Maine town. Dogs allowed off-season, October 1 to March 31..
  • Beach Plum Farm — More a place to visit than to walk. Great Works Regional Land Trust invites the public to make a half-mile stroll around its fields and gardens. No dogs, I think.
  • Payeur Preserve and Ogunquit Town Forest — In the Payeur Preserve, you can do a roughly one-mile walk in the woods, close to the dog park. More trails extend through the adjoining town forest.
  • Old Boston Preserve — Double-loop 1.3-mile trail in mature forests laced with stone walls and a fairly substantial rock-wall foundation of the Boston family homestead.
