Pine Tree Preserve, Boothbay

QUICK TRAIL FACTS

  • Preserve Size: 144 acres
  • Trail Mileage: 1.1-mile loop
  • Pets: yes
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Sights: small pond

This is a pleasant trail that takes you to some wetlands and a small pond that looks like it might offer fine ice skating in the cold months. There are unmarked trails here, so be observant of the land trust signs. The .9-mile loop is marked with white blazes. Also, there is another yellow-blazed trail that seems older and a bit less used that intersects with the white-blazed trails and swings a bit wider around the white trail. The .6-mile spur down the logging road can be wet.

Directions: From the junction of Routes 27 and 96 in Boothbay Harbor, at the traffic light, take 96 and proceed about 0.4 mile to Eastern Avenue. Turn left onto a driveway and you’ll see the BRLT kiosk and parking lot on your right.
